Offline Controllers
Locate the NetGen door controller for that door. It may be installed in the ceiling above the door or in a nearby network closet. Depending on the NetGen version, it will look like one of these:
Once you’ve found it:
- The green LED on the board should be lit.
- There should be a network (ethernet) cable plugged into the board. A solid green light here indicates a valid connection, and an accompanying flickering orange light signifies connectivity.
- If the board appears to have power, try to reset the network connection. There is a small white button on the short side of the board, counter-clockwise from where the ethernet cable plugs in. Press the button for 3 seconds, then release.
- Wait several minutes for the server to attempt to re-establish communication. If the door remains OFFLINE, confirm the viability of the ethernet cable and the configuration of the switch port that it's plugged into.
